Simple Chai Tea Latte

 Gluten-Free Chai Tea Latte

Gluten-free

I am going to make it as simple as possible, no need for extract reading. I hope you enjoy!

Serving: 2 Lattes or 1 Large Latte
Materials:
  • Kettle
  • Mug
  • Liquid Measuring Glass Cup
  • 1/4 and 1/2 Dry Measuring Cups
  • Milk Steamer and Frother
  • 2 Common Table spoon
Ingredients:
  • 2 or 1 Chai Tea bags
    • 1 for less strong flavor of chai and 2 for a more potent flavor
    • I used French Vanilla Chai Tea made by Twinings of London
  • 3/4 cup of Whole milk or 1/2 cup of milk if you do not want frothed milk
    • 1/4 of the milk will be frothed
    • 1/2 of the milk will be steamed
  • 1/2 cup of boiled water
    • The 1 or 2 tea bags will be placed in this water
  • Cinnamon for topping (optional)
  • 2 spoons of brown sugar (optional)
    • I add brown sugar for a deeply sugar flavor that matches with the spice flavors of chai because personally I like the tea latte to be a little sweet.
    • Granulated sugar, coconut sugar, honey, or maple syrup can be used
Instructions:
  1. Heat water in a kettle till boiling and before pouring place sugar into glass measuring cup, then pour the water in.
  2. Placed the 1 or 2 tea bags in the glass cup and let it set for about 5 minutes.
  3. After 5 minutes take out tea bag(s) and pour into a mug
  4. Steam 1/2 cup of the milk and then pour into mug
  5. Mix with spoon
  6. Froth 1/4 cup of milk and pour in the mug. It will be on top of the milk tea.
  7. Add cinnamon on top (optional)
  8. Then enjoy!!
If you would like it iced add ice before adding the frothed milk and use cold milk instead of steamed. OR.  let the milk tea mixture sit for 10 minutes to cool and then add ice and frothed milk on top.
